The Baby Boomer wave is now in full force and developing comprehensive living solutions for this significant demographic group is challenging.  The Baby Boomer group is not satisfied with the limited choices offered in traditional communities.  New communities nationwide are recognizing the critical link between our built environments and public health. How well we plan land use, amenities, transportation, economic development and natural resource protection do have an effect on our well-being.

Burke Design was the land planner for this 8000 acre “New Town”.  Land Uses included multiple residential products types and price points, office, commercial, light industrial, recreation and civic uses. Responsibilities included master planning, development of  parcel site plans, pro-forma and market analysis

The vision for Crescent Landing is to embrace this paradigm and create a multi-generational community in which the idea of live, work and play is maximized. Seeking distinction from tradition community developments, the objective was to capitalize on the large retirement market and utilize it as the foundation to establish a New Town founded on a set of guiding principles.
