Burke Design has been involved in many multi-family projects thru out the United States and has an in depth understanding of their specific planning, design and economic issues. The projects have included high-end condominiums such as The Carlyle, student housing such as the Melrose projects, town homes such as Kings Mill and market- rate apartments such as Seagrass Apartments

Burke Design was the land planner and landscape architect, providing rezoning, master planning and design services for this 25 acre, 300 unit market- rate apartment complex.  Surrounded by lower value housing the master plan mitigates this constraint by utilizing the parking and traffic circulation as a buffer and focusing the units internally. Views and interest are created via a juxtaposition of the units and tree canopy preservation. The final plan accomplished this and resulted in a successful rental community recognized for its quality and environmental sensitivity.
